Let's go 'sploring in Sand Canyon outside of Cortez. This will be a "go at your pace hike". We will go as far as we want and then turnaround.

About the Event
Carpool from Hesperus Post Office, 10864 US-160, Hesperus, CO 81326 at 8:30AM or meet at trailhead at 9:30. It's an hour drive to Sand Canyon trailhead. Trail info here.
This is an easy/moderate out and back hike. Ability to walk a mile + over uneven terrain with you camera gear is needed to have a good experience. Bring snacks, lunch, water, sunscreen, hat, sunglasses and layers for varying weather. Tripods optional. We'll be walking with gear, so you may want to keep it light.
Experimentation encouraged. Bring that piece of gear you have been meaning to learn how to use and make an effort to learn it. Someone may be able to help you figure it out. Hopefully, there will be some flowers blooming.
You must be a member and sign a waiver prior to participating in this event.
