Bisti Badlands Sunset and Blue Hour Photo Shoot

Join us at the Bisti Badlands Hunter Wash (north parking) for an sunset/blue hour photo shoot. Nancy and Janis are going to spend the night in the parking lot and shoot Milky Way in the early hours of the next morning. If you don't want to stay the night, you can depart after shooting sunset.

We will be meeting at the north parking lot called Hunter Wash (shown at the top left of the map below). The area we are hiking to is called "Stone Wings". It's an easy approximately one mile hike. However, please make sure you have a hiking tracker app on your phone because it is easy to get lost in the hoodoos. We will try to stay together, but please do not rely on others for your safety.
Golden hour is at 4:52PM to 5:29PM, Blue hour 5:47PM to 6:08, and night starts at 7PM. The Milky Way will be visible in a low arch starting from 2:15 AM on the morning of the 30th. If you want to stay to shoot the Milky Way, please plan on sleeping in your car or bring a tent et al.
